The Economist: a serious newspaper?

 You are right:  Argentine should improve the offer to bondholders.

But you cannot neglect that while “ $20 billion were fleeing the country”, your newspaper did not report it, and, as in the rest of the decade, failed to understand and report the incompatibility of a currency-board scheme with a policy of growing deficit-debt. On the contrary, you praised it.

As a journalist that got in serious trouble for criticizing from its very beginning the crazy “convertibility” deception that ended in the foreseeable disaster, I resented, and resent, your omission.
